Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.1 tsp salt

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter a 6-oz ramekin or mug.

    Melt butter and cocoa powder together in a small bowl, stirring until smooth.

    Whisk in sugar, then add egg and vanilla. Stir until fully combined.

    Mix flour and salt in a separate bowl, then fold into the wet mixture until no streaks remain.

    Pour batter into prepared ramekin. Bake 12–14 minutes until edges are set but center jiggles slightly.

    Cool 2 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
