Ingredients

  • 1 lb tuna steak
  • 1 mango
  • ½ cucumber
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat the 1 lb tuna steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over high heat until smoking hot.

  2. 2

Sear the tuna for 1 minute per side until the outside is browned but the center remains rare. Remove from the pan and let rest for 2 minutes.

  3. 3

While the tuna rests, peel and slice the 1 mango into thin strips. Cut the 0.5 cucumber into thin matchsticks.

  4. 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the 3 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp sesame oil. Add the 1 cup bean sprouts, mango, and cucumber, and toss gently.

  5. 5

Slice the tuna thinly against the grain. Arrange the tuna slices over the mango-cucumber salad and drizzle with any remaining sauce. Serve immediately.
