Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 6 oz dark chocolate, chopped (60% cacao or higher)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 whole large eggs
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup salted caramel sauce (jarred or homemade)
- ½ cup roasted pecans, roughly chopped
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides.
- 2
Melt butter and chocolate together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth.
- 3
Whisk sugar and eggs together in a separate bowl until pale, about 2 minutes. Fold in the melted chocolate mixture.
- 4
Sift flour and a pinch of salt over the batter. Fold until just combined—don't overmix.
- 5
Pour half the batter into the pan. Drizzle half the caramel sauce over, then swirl with a fork. Add remaining batter.
- 6
Drizzle remaining caramel on top, swirl gently, and scatter pecans over the surface.
- 7
Bake 14-16 minutes until edges pull slightly from the sides but center still jiggles when you shake the pan.
- 8
Cool in the pan 10 minutes, then use parchment overhang to lift onto a wire rack. Cut into 12 squares while warm.
