Ingredients
- 1 head, about 2 lbs red cabbage
- 1 large, tart variety apple
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ cup vegetable broth

Quarter the cabbage and slice thinly on a cutting board, discarding the core.

Peel the apple and grate it on a box grater into a large skillet.

Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium-high until shimmering.

Add cabbage, vinegar, caraway seeds, sugar, and broth. Stir well.

Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed, 12–15 minutes.
