Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup total toppings (chopped chocolate, granola, fresh berries, or sprinkles)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ⅛ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Freeze a baking sheet for 15 minutes until very cold.

  2. 2

Whip heavy cream to soft peaks in a bowl (2–3 minutes by hand or with mixer).

  3. 3

Fold condensed milk, vanilla, and salt into whipped cream until combined.

  4. 4

Spread mixture thin on the chilled sheet. Freeze 5–7 minutes until edges just start to set but center is still soft.

  5. 5

Spread toppings evenly across the surface, pressing gently.

  6. 6

Using a spatula, scrape mixture starting from one edge into a tight roll. Work fast.

  7. 7

Slide rolled ice cream onto a parchment-lined plate. Freeze 10 minutes until firm.

  8. 8

Slice into 4 portions. Serve immediately or freeze up to 1 week.
