Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 14-oz can canned diced tomatoes with juice
  • 3 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1.5 cups frozen okra, sliced
  • 1.5 lbs shrimp and lump crab meat, mixed

Instructions

    Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

    Add onion and celery, stirring occasionally until softened, about 5 minutes.

    Pour in tomatoes with their juice and broth, stirring to combine.

    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Add okra and simmer until tender and the broth darkens slightly, 8 minutes.

    Stir in shrimp and crab, cooking until shrimp turn pink, 4–5 minutes.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot in bowls.
