Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 whole large eggs
- ½ cup jam or preserves (any flavor)
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1
Whisk flour, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Add eggs and milk, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- 2
Heat 2 inches of neutral oil in a heavy skillet to 350°F; water flicked on the surface should sizzle immediately.
- 3
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons into the hot oil, 3–4 at a time. Fry 60 seconds per side until golden brown.
- 4
Transfer donuts to paper towels to drain. Once cool enough to handle, poke a hole in the side with a small skewer.
- 5
Fill a piping bag with jam and squeeze into each hole, dividing evenly among all donuts.
- 6
Roll warm donuts in powdered sugar until fully coated. Serve immediately.
