Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • ½ cup Irish porter or stout beer
  • 100 g unsalted butter
  • 150 g digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

    Heat chocolate, beer, and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until melted and smooth, ~4 minutes.

    Remove from heat and stir in crushed biscuits and brown sugar until fully combined.

    Line a 6×6-inch pan with parchment and press the mixture firmly into an even layer.

    Refrigerate until firm, ~8 minutes, then cut into 12 squares.

    Dust each bite generously with cocoa powder and serve cold or at room temperature.
