Ingredients
- 10 oz ground pork
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp green onion, chopped
- 8 pieces store-bought steamed bun dough (pre-cut, refrigerated)
- 8 pieces parchment paper squares
Instructions
- 1
Brown ground pork in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until no pink remains, about 4 minutes.
- 2
Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, and green onion. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, then transfer to a plate to cool.
- 3
Place each bun dough piece on a parchment square. Spoon 1 tbsp of cooled pork filling into the center of each bun.
- 4
Gently fold the dough around the filling and pinch to seal, creating a round bun. Place seam-side down on its parchment square.
- 5
Bring water to a boil in a steamer pot. Arrange buns on steamer racks, parchment intact, without overlapping.
- 6
Steam over boiling water for 6 minutes until buns are puffed and glossy. Serve immediately.
