Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup whole milk, warm
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • ½ cup jam or custard filling

Instructions

    Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add warm milk and softened butter, stirring until shaggy dough forms.

    Knead dough 3–4 minutes in the bowl until smooth and elastic, then divide into 4 equal pieces.

    Flatten each piece, spoon 2 tbsp jam into center, fold edges up to seal, and place seam-side down on a parchment-lined sheet pan.

    Cover with a towel and let rise 8–10 minutes until puffy and warm to the touch.

    Bake at 375°F for 12–14 minutes until golden brown and a light tap sounds hollow.
