- ½ cup whole milk, cold
- 1.5 oz espresso shots (or strong brewed coffee)
- ¼ tsp unsweetened cocoa powder (optional garnish)

Pull 1.5 oz espresso into a cup or use 2–3 tbsp strong brewed coffee.

Pour cold milk into a metal pitcher. Steam until the pitcher is too hot to touch and you hear a steady whisper sound, about 90 seconds.

Gently pour steamed milk into the espresso, holding back foam with a spoon. Fill the cup two-thirds with milk and top with 0.5 inch of foam.

Dust lightly with cocoa powder if desired. Serve immediately.
