Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides.

  2. 2

Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, ~2 minutes. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

Stir peanut butter into melted butter until smooth and fully combined.

  4. 4

Sift powdered sugar into the pan. Stir vigorously until no lumps remain and mixture is glossy.

  5. 5

Add chocolate chips and salt. Fold in until chocolate is mostly melted from residual heat.

  6. 6

Pour into prepared pan. Smooth the top with an offset spatula or the back of a spoon.

  7. 7

Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours. Lift from pan using parchment overhang.

  8. 8

Cut into 16 squares with a sharp knife, wiping blade between cuts for clean edges.

  9. 9

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
