Ingredients

  • 4 lbs fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 375°F. Toss peach slices with sugar in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. 2

Mix flour, baking powder, and 0.5 tsp salt in a bowl until combined.

  3. 3

Cut cold butter into flour mixture with a fork until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. 4

Stir milk into flour mixture until a shaggy dough forms; do not overmix.

  5. 5

Drop spoonfuls of dough over peaches, leaving gaps for fruit to peek through.

  6. 6

Bake until topping is golden brown and fruit bubbles at edges, ~25–30 minutes.

  7. 7

Cool for 10 minutes before serving. Top is crispy, filling is warm and juicy.
