Ingredients
- 2 bags passion fruit tea bags (or brewed cooled passion fruit tea)
- 1 cup hot water
- ⅓ cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- 1
Pour 1 cup of hot water (about 190°F or just below boiling) into a heat-safe pitcher or large mug.
- 2
Place 2 passion fruit tea bags into the hot water and let them steep for 3 minutes, until the water turns a deep amber-orange color and smells strongly fruity.
- 3
Remove the tea bags by lifting them out with a spoon and squeezing them gently against the side of the pitcher to release all liquid.
- 4
Pour the hot brewed tea into a separate pitcher or bowl and set it in the freezer for 2 minutes, or run cold water over the outside of the vessel until it cools to room temperature.
- 5
Pour the cooled tea into a large pitcher or drinking glass, then add 0.33 cup fresh lemon juice and 2 tablespoons honey.
- 6
Stir with a long spoon for 20 seconds until the honey dissolves completely and no swirls of sweetener remain.
- 7
Fill two tall glasses halfway with 1 cup total ice cubes, divided evenly between them.
- 8
Pour the passion lemonade over the ice, dividing it equally between the two glasses, and serve immediately.
