Ingredients

  • 6 oz spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3.5 cups vegetable broth
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat oil in a large pot over medium. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Pour in broth and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, about 3 minutes.

  3. 3

Break spaghetti in half and add to boiling broth. Stir to submerge.

  4. 4

Simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and broth reduces, 8–10 minutes.

  5. 5

Stir in red pepper flakes. Taste and adjust salt and pepper.

  6. 6

Serve hot in bowls with an extra drizzle of olive oil if desired.
