Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp butter, cold and cubed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 whole egg yolks
  • 1.5 cups mixed nuts (almonds, hazelnuts), chopped
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 oz dark chocolate, chopped or chips

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix flour, 0.25 cup sugar, and a pinch of salt. Rub in cold butter with your fingers until breadcrumb texture.

  2. 2

Stir in egg yolk until dough just comes together. Press into a 9x13-inch parchment-lined sheet pan.

  3. 3

Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes until pale golden and set. Remove and let cool 2 minutes on the pan.

  4. 4

Combine remaining 0.25 cup sugar, cream, and honey in a small pot over medium heat, stirring constantly.

  5. 5

When mixture bubbles, stir in chopped nuts and cook 1 minute. Spread evenly over warm crust.

  6. 6

Bake another 10–12 minutes until caramel is golden and bubbling at edges. Cool 5 minutes.

  7. 7

Melt chocolate in a small bowl over hot water or in microwave; drizzle thin lines across the top.

  8. 8

Cool completely, then cut into triangles. Serve at room temperature.
