Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry sheet
  • 2 medium apples
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll out the 1 puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet and prick it all over with a fork.

  2. 2

Peel and thinly slice the 2 apples. Arrange them over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border. Scatter the 0.5 cup blueberries over the apples.

  3. 3

In a small saucepan, melt the 2 tbsp butter with the 3 tbsp brown sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract over medium heat until bubbling, about 2 minutes. Brush this mixture over the apples and berries.

  4. 4

Fold the pastry edges over the filling to create a rustic crust. Bake until the pastry is golden and the apples are tender, 18-20 minutes.

  5. 5

Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
