Ingredients
- ¾ cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 2 cups gram flour (besan)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 6 whole green cardamom pods
- ½ cup raw cashews, finely chopped
- ¼ cup milk solids (mawa), grated or crumbled

Crush cardamom pods lightly to release seeds; discard husks. Grind seeds to powder using a spice grinder or mortar.

Heat ghee in a large heavy skillet over medium. Add gram flour and stir constantly until fragrant and light golden, ~8 minutes.

Remove from heat. Cool for 5 minutes, then stir in powdered sugar, cardamom powder, cashews, and mawa until well combined.

Once cool enough to handle, roll mixture into 1-inch balls. If too soft, refrigerate for 10 minutes and try again.

Arrange ladoos on a plate and refrigerate for 15 minutes until firm.
