Mini Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
  • 2 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • 0 salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    Butter one side of each bread slice generously. Season the buttered sides lightly with salt and pepper.

    Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place one slice butter-side down and top with one cheese slice.

    Cover with a second bread slice, butter-side up. Cook 2 to 3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.

    Flip and cook the other side 1 to 2 minutes until golden and cheese is fully melted. Remove to a plate.

    Repeat with remaining bread and cheese to make the second sandwich.

    Cut each sandwich in half diagonally. Serve while hot.
