Ingredients

  • ½ lb beef tongue, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

    In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp mirin, and 1 tbsp sugar until dissolved. Set aside.

    Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add the 0.5 lb beef tongue slices in a single layer and sear until browned, about 1-2 minutes per side.

    Pour the soy-mirin mixture over the beef and toss to coat. Cook until the sauce thickens and glazes the meat, about 1-2 minutes.

    Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with 2 sliced green onions and 1 tsp sesame seeds. Serve hot.
