Ingredients

  • 12 count frozen pork dumplings
  • 4 cups anchovy broth (or dashima broth)
  • ½ lb squid, cleaned and sliced thin
  • 1 whole red bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 stalks green onion, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • ¼ tsp gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes)

Instructions

    Bring anchovy broth to a boil in a medium pot over high heat, about 5 minutes.

    Add frozen dumplings and cook until they float to the surface, then simmer 4 more minutes.

    While dumplings cook, heat sesame oil in a skillet over high heat until shimmering.

    Stir-fry squid and bell pepper until squid is opaque and peppers are just tender, about 3 minutes.

    Pour broth and dumplings into bowls, top with squid-pepper mixture and green onion.

    Drizzle with soy sauce, sprinkle gochugaru, and serve immediately.
