Ingredients
- 1 bag (10 oz) frozen fries (shoestring or crinkle-cut)
- 4 oz ground beef
- ¾ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup whole milk
- ¼ cup jalapeños, sliced
- ½ tsp chili powder
Instructions
- 1
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned, ~3 minutes.
- 2
Add chili powder and jalapeños to the beef. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 3
While beef cooks, fry the fries in a separate skillet or air-fry according to package directions (usually 8–10 minutes).
- 4
Add cheese and milk to the beef skillet. Stir continuously until the cheese melts completely, ~2 minutes, to form a queso sauce.
- 5
Pour the queso and beef onto the hot fries. Toss gently to coat.
- 6
Serve immediately while everything is still hot and cheese is melty.
