Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 4 cloves garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 1 whole lemon (zested + juiced)
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper

Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al dente, per box instructions.

Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add sliced garlic and cook until fragrant and just starting to soften, 1–2 minutes.

Reserve 1 cup pasta cooking water, then drain pasta.

Add cooked pasta to the skillet with garlic and oil.

Pour in lemon juice and lemon zest, then add 0.5 cup reserved pasta water.
