Ingredients

  • 1 whole fresh lemon
  • 1.5 inch piece fresh ginger, unpeeled
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tbsp raw honey or maple syrup
  • 3 oz water

Instructions

    Juice the lemon into a fine-mesh strainer set over a small glass.

    Grate the ginger on a microplane directly into the glass.

    Add turmeric powder and honey to the glass.

    Pour warm or room-temperature water into the glass.

    Stir vigorously for 30 seconds until turmeric is fully dissolved.

    Strain through fine mesh into a shot glass or small cup if desired.

    Drink immediately while warm.
