Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1.5 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, roughly chopped
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, ~9 minutes.

  2. 2

Meanwhile, halve the cherry tomatoes. Mince the garlic.

  3. 3

Drain pasta, reserving 1 cup pasta water. Return pot to medium heat.

  4. 4

Melt butter in the pot. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

  5. 5

Add tomatoes and 0.5 cup pasta water. Simmer 2 minutes, stirring gently.

  6. 6

Return pasta to the pot. Toss well, adding more pasta water to create a silky sauce.

  7. 7

Remove from heat. Fold in basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  8. 8

Divide between bowls and serve immediately.
