Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1.5 cups cherry tomatoes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup fresh basil, roughly chopped
- 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, ~9 minutes.

Meanwhile, halve the cherry tomatoes. Mince the garlic.

Drain pasta, reserving 1 cup pasta water. Return pot to medium heat.

Melt butter in the pot. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add tomatoes and 0.5 cup pasta water. Simmer 2 minutes, stirring gently.

Return pasta to the pot. Toss well, adding more pasta water to create a silky sauce.

Remove from heat. Fold in basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
