Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 2 cups plain yogurt
- 2 pieces pita bread
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1.5 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp ground allspice
- ¼ cup pine nuts

Tear pita into bite-sized pieces. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add pita pieces and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy, 3–4 minutes. Transfer to a plate.

In the same skillet, add onion and cook over medium heat until softened, about 3 minutes. Push aside and add ground lamb.

Brown the lamb, breaking up with a spoon, until no pink remains, 5–6 minutes. Stir in cumin and allspice; cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

Stir in yogurt gently until combined. Reduce heat to low and warm through, 2–3 minutes; do not boil.

Toast pine nuts in a dry pan 2–3 minutes until golden, then sprinkle over top with crispy pita. Serve warm.
