Ingredients

  • ¾ lb ground lamb
  • ½ cup red lentils
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1.5 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ¼ cup crispy fried onions
  • 3 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

    Brown ground lamb in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up with a spoon, until no pink remains, ~5 minutes.

    Stir in ginger-garlic paste and garam masala, cook until fragrant, ~45 seconds.

    Add red lentils and 1.5 cups water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 12 minutes until lentils break down.

    Stir in yogurt and salt to taste until fully combined, simmer uncovered for 2 more minutes.

    Divide between bowls, top with crispy fried onions and fresh cilantro, serve hot.
