Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs rotisserie or cooked shredded pork shoulder
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 8 count Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 cups shredded purple cabbage
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. 1

Toss cabbage with vinegar, a pinch of salt, and let it sit while you assemble.

  2. 2

Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium. Add pork and soy sauce, breaking it up gently.

  3. 3

Warm the pork, stirring occasionally, until the edges brown slightly and surface looks glossy, ~4 minutes.

  4. 4

Wipe the skillet clean. Butter both sides of each roll halves and toast cut-side down until golden, ~2 minutes.

  5. 5

Stack pork on bottom halves, top with pickled cabbage and roll tops.

  6. 6

    Serve hot.
