Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 8 ounces kalguksu noodles
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large pot, bring 4 cups chicken broth to a boil over high heat. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 tablespoon soy sauce, stirring to combine.

  2. 2

Add 8 ounces kalguksu noodles to the boiling broth. Cook according to package directions until tender, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

Slice 2 green onions thinly, separating white and green parts. Add the white parts to the pot during the last minute of cooking.

  4. 4

Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon sesame oil. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt if needed.

  5. 5

Ladle the soup into bowls and top with the remaining green onion slices. Serve hot.
