Ingredients

  • 1 lb lamb, ground
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 can (14 oz) canned crushed tomato
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1.5 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 medium green chili, chopped

Instructions

    Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high. Add diced onion and sauté until soft and golden, 3–4 minutes.

    Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chili. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    Add ground lamb and break it up with a spoon, stirring until browned, 4–5 minutes.

    Sprinkle chili powder and coriander powder over the meat. Stir for 30 seconds to bloom the spices.

    Pour in crushed tomato and a pinch of salt. Bring to a simmer and cook 8–10 minutes until sauce thickens.

    Taste and adjust spice and salt. Serve hot with rice, naan, or flatbread.
