- 1 small head (about 1.5 lbs) cabbage, halved and cut into wedges
- 1.5 lbs potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 small onion, peeled and halved
- 1 to taste salt and black pepper
