Ingredients
- 2 lbs mussels, cleaned and debearded
- ¾ cup dry white wine
- ½ cup low-sodium seafood or chicken broth
- 4 count garlic cloves, sliced thin
- 1.5 tsp black pepper, freshly cracked
- 1 loaf crusty bread, for serving

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in white wine and broth, then add mussels. Stir gently and cover.

Simmer for 5–7 minutes until mussels open. Discard any that stay closed.

Crack black pepper over the pot and taste — add salt and pepper to your liking.
