Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 5-oz fillets salmon fillets, skin-on
  • 2 whole scallions, sliced
  • ½ tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1

Whisk soy sauce, honey, ginger, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.

  2. 2

Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Heat olive oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, ~90 seconds.

  4. 4

Place salmon skin-side up in the pan. Sear without moving for 3-4 minutes until skin crisps.

  5. 5

Flip salmon, then pour the glaze over top. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until edges are opaque.

  6. 6

Spoon glaze over salmon once more. Transfer to a plate.

  7. 7

Garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds. Drizzle any pan glaze over top.
