Ingredients
- 4 piece bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
- 6 piece garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp chicken stock
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 3 sprig fresh thyme
Instructions
- 1
Pat chicken dry and season well with salt and pepper. Place skin-side down in a cold oven-safe skillet, then turn heat to medium. Cook until skin is deeply golden and releases easily, about 12 minutes.
- 2
Flip chicken and cook skin-side up for 5 minutes. Transfer pan to a 200°C (400°F) oven for 8 minutes.
- 3
Remove chicken to a plate. Drain excess fat, leaving about 1 tbsp. Sauté sliced garlic 1 minute, add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and stock. Simmer 2 minutes, swirl in butter.
- 4
Return chicken and spoon sauce over. Serve with thyme.
