Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 3 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 whole scallion, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente, ~9 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta water.

  2. 2

While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, ~1 minute.

  3. 3

Add minced garlic to butter and cook until fragrant, ~45 seconds.

  4. 4

Stir gochujang into the skillet until smooth, breaking up any lumps.

  5. 5

Add drained pasta to the skillet with 3/4 cup reserved pasta water.

  6. 6

Toss constantly for 2 minutes until sauce coats noodles and thickens slightly.

  7. 7
