Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs pork spare ribs, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup mirin
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks green onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

  2. 2

Add rib pieces and sear without stirring for 3 minutes until the bottom edges brown.

  3. 3

Flip the ribs and cook another 2 minutes until the other side browns lightly.

  4. 4

Pour soy sauce and mirin over the ribs, then add ginger and garlic, stirring gently.

  5. 5

Simmer uncovered for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce reduces to a thick, glossy glaze.

  6. 6

Finish with green onion and serve immediately while the glaze is hot and sticky.
