Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 cups neutral oil for frying
- 1.5 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- 1
Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Roll each into a ball, then flatten into a 2-inch disk.
- 2
Use a small measuring spoon or straw to poke a hole in the center of each disk. Gently enlarge into a donut ring.
- 3
Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F. Use a thermometer to check—don't guess.
- 4
Carefully slide 2–3 donuts into the hot oil. Fry 60 seconds per side until golden brown.
- 5
Lift donuts out with a slotted spoon and place on a paper-towel-lined plate.
- 6
Repeat with remaining donuts in batches, maintaining oil temperature around 350°F.
- 7
Whisk powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and milk in a small bowl until smooth and pourable.
- 8
Dip warm donuts into glaze, turning to coat both sides. Set on a wire rack to set.
