- 1 cup strong brewed coffee (or espresso)
- ½ cup whole milk (or milk of choice)
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract

Pour 1 cup of strong brewed coffee into a mug — use hot water and instant coffee, or brew fresh coffee in a coffee maker if you have one.

Pour 0.5 cup of milk into a separate microwave-safe mug and heat in the microwave on high for 60–90 seconds until the surface steams gently and is too hot to touch.

Add 1 tablespoon of molasses, 0.25 teaspoon of ground ginger, 0.25 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 0.125 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the coffee mug.

Stir the coffee and spices together with a spoon for 10 seconds until the molasses dissolves completely and the color is uniform.
