Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (halved lengthwise) Baguette or ciabatta
  • 4 whole Tomatoes (ripe, medium)
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • ¼ cup (packed) Fresh basil
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar

Instructions

    Slice bread diagonally into 0.5-inch-thick pieces. Arrange on a sheet pan.

    Broil 4 inches from heat until bread is golden and crisp, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Dice tomatoes into small chunks. Mince garlic and tear basil leaves.

    Toss tomatoes with garlic, basil, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
