Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (penne or similar)
- 1 lb fresh tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup fresh basil, divided

Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, about 9 minutes, then drain and reserve 1 cup pasta water.
