French Press Coffee

Ingredients

  • ½ cup coarsely ground coffee
  • 2 cups water
  • 0.05 tsp salt

Instructions

    Heat water to just below boiling, ~200°F (about 3-4 minutes in a kettle).

    Add ground coffee and pinch of salt to the French press.

    Pour hot water over coffee, saturating all grounds. Stir gently once.

    Place lid on press without plunging. Let steep 4 minutes.

    Press plunger down slowly until filter reaches the bottom.

    Pour into mugs immediately. Serve hot.
