Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- ¼ cup tahini
- 2 whole garlic cloves
- 1 whole lemon, juiced
- ½ cup olive oil, divided
- 2 whole pita bread
- 1 tsp sumac

Pulse chickpeas, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice in a food processor until mostly smooth.

With motor running, drizzle in 0.25 cup olive oil until hummus is light and creamy.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a shallow bowl.

Cut pita into triangles. Heat remaining 0.25 cup olive oil in a skillet over medium-high.

Fry pita triangles in batches until golden and crispy, about 2 minutes per batch.
