Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups hummus
  • 2 pockets pita bread
  • 1 can (15 oz) canned chickpeas, drained
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper

  1. 1

Cut pita into triangles. Arrange on a sheet pan and toast in a 400°F oven until golden and crispy, 6–8 minutes.

  2. 2

Spread hummus in a shallow bowl, creating a slight well in the center with the back of a spoon.

  3. 3

Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant and golden, ~1 minute. Do not brown.

  4. 4

Add drained chickpeas to the oil and toss for 2 minutes until warmed through and lightly golden.

  5. 5

Pour the warm garlic oil and chickpeas over the hummus. Top with crispy pita chips and serve immediately.
