Ingredients

  • 2 whole everything bagels
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz smoked salmon (lox)
  • 2 tbsp capers, drained
  • 1 whole lemon
  • ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

    Split the bagels and toast cut-side up until golden and crispy, about 3–4 minutes.

    Spread 2–3 tablespoons of softened cream cheese evenly on the toasted cut side of each bagel half.

    Layer 1 ounce of smoked salmon on top of each bagel half, draping it loosely.

    Scatter capers and a few thin red onion slices over the salmon on each piece.

    Cut the lemon in half and squeeze a light spritz of juice over each bagel half.

    Serve immediately while the bagel is still warm and crispy.
