Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground pork
  • ¼ lb shrimp, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks green onion, minced
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • 24 count wonton wrappers
  • 2 cups neutral oil for frying
  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce, jarred
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  1. 1

Combine pork, shrimp, green onion, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl. Mix until just blended.

  2. 2

Place 1 tsp filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Wet edges with water, fold in half, then bring corners together.

  3. 3

Heat 2 cups oil in a large pot or wok to 350°F (a wooden spoon handle should bubble steadily).

  4. 4

Fry wontons in batches, 2–3 minutes per batch, until golden brown. Don't crowd the pot.

  5. 5

Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

Whisk sweet chili sauce with lime juice. Serve wontons warm with dipping sauce.
