Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked brisket, thick-sliced (roughly 1 inch)
  • 1 lb frozen steak fries
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • ½ cup dill pickle spears
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high. Working in batches, sear brisket slices 2 minutes per side without moving until edges char. Transfer to a plate.

  2. 2

Add butter and beef broth to the skillet, scraping up browned bits. Return brisket slices and toss to coat, then reduce to medium-low and simmer 3 minutes.

  3. 3

While brisket cooks, bake fries in a separate oven at 425°F for 12 minutes until golden and crispy.

  4. 4

Arrange brisket on a plate. Sprinkle smoked paprika over the top, then pour pan sauce around the meat.

  5. 5

Serve with crispy fries and a handful of dill pickle spears on the side.
