  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 cup neutral cooking oil for frying

    Pour warm water into the flour mixture and stir until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.

    Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until a pinch of dough sizzles immediately when dropped in.

    Pinch off dough pieces (roughly 2 inches), flatten slightly between your palms, and carefully slide into hot oil.

    Fry 2–3 minutes per side until deep golden brown and puffed. Transfer to paper towels.
