Ingredients
- 3 tbsp lard or rendered pork fat
- 8 oz crusty bread or dense white bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 oz sliced ham, chopped into bite-sized pieces
- 2 whole green onions, thinly sliced
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp black pepper

Heat lard in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1 minute.

Add bread cubes and stir occasionally until golden brown and crispy on all sides, ~5 minutes.
