Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 1.5 cups glutinous rice flour (sticky rice flour)
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 stems scallions, chopped
  • 8 leaves bamboo leaves, dried (soaked 5 min)

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix glutinous rice flour with 0.75 cup water until a sticky dough forms, ~2 minutes.

  2. 2

Cook ground pork in a skillet over medium-high, breaking apart with a spoon, until no pink remains, ~5 minutes.

  3. 3

Stir in soy sauce, ginger, and scallions. Cook 1 minute until fragrant, then transfer to a bowl.

  4. 4

Spoon 1 tbsp pork onto each bamboo leaf, fold leaf over filling, and press edges to seal (no folding required).

  5. 5

Wipe skillet dry. Pan-fry bundles seam-side down over medium-high until golden and crispy, ~3 minutes per side.

  6. 6

Serve hot with soy sauce or chili oil for dipping.
