Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp dried piri piri chiles (or chili flakes)
  • 1 whole lemon (zested + juiced)
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 whole green onions, chopped
  • 3 tbsp neutral oil

Instructions

    Combine piri piri chiles, lemon zest, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp oil, and salt. Coat chicken thighs generously.

    Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 1 minute.

    Sear chicken 6–7 minutes per side without moving until skin is deep golden and edges crisp.

    While chicken cooks, toss cabbage with remaining lemon juice, salt, and pepper until slightly softened.
